Vivo Y56 5G Is Available In Offline Stores: Check Specs, Price Of Midrange Android Smartphone

Vivo announced the Vivo V27 series earlier this week. Besides the upper-mid-range series, the brand was reportedly readying another Android smartphone. Vivo was rumored to launch the Vivo Y56 5G this week, but the Android smartphone is available for purchase without any official announcement or launch. It seems Vivo has quietly introduced the Y56 5G through its offline retail partners.

Vivo Y56 5G Price, Availability In India

Vivo appears to have quietly seeded the Vivo Y56 5G in India's offline markets. The company didn't even officially announce the smartphone nor confirmed its availability on social media. Regardless, multiple reports have confirmed the Vivo Y56 5G is available in several retail stores.

The Vivo Y56 5G is a new mid-range smartphone in the Indian market, and could mostly be available in the offline segment at least for the next few weeks. The Y56 5G resembles most other Vivo Y series smartphones. The Vivo smartphone is available in Orange Shimmer and Black Engine color options.

The Vivo Y56 5G appears to be selling in the offline segment at ₹19,999. There's only one variant of the smartphone with 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Strangely, the smartphone has a dedicated listing on Vivo's own e-Store, but it sports a sticker price of ₹24,999. The listing claims the smartphone is unavailable.

Vivo Y56 5G Specifications, Features

The Y56 5G features a 6.58-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD screen. The display has a resolution of 2408 × 1080 pixels and a 60Hz refresh rate.

Vivo has embedded a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC in the Vivo Y56. The chipset is paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The device supports the "Extended RAM 3.0" feature. This feature can add 8GB of virtual RAM, using internal storage space, to the 8GB of physical RAM.

The Y56 5G has a dual camera setup on the back. There's a 50MP main camera and a 2MP secondary sensor. There is a 16MP front-facing camera for selfies, video calls, and face unlock. Vivo offers features such as Photo, Night, Portrait, Video, Panorama, Live Photo, Slow-motion, Time-Lapse, Pro, and more.

Vivo has embedded a 5000mAh battery in the Y56 5G, which supports 18W wired fast charging via a USB Type-C port. It boots Android 13 OS with a layer of Funtouch OS on top.

The smartphone measures 164.05 × 75.60 × 8.15mm and weighs 184 grams. The device supports dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, and seven 5G bands in India.
