Xiaomi 14 Series Global Launch Confirmed for February 25 ahead of MWC 2024

Xiaomi has officially confirmed the global launch date for its highly anticipated flagship smartphones, the Xiaomi 14 and the Xiaomi 14 Pro.

The event is scheduled to take place on February 25, 2024, marking the international debut of the latest offerings from the tech giant.

Two Distinct Models in the Line-up

The Xiaomi 14 series comprises two models: the standard variant and the Pro model. Contrary to earlier speculations, Xiaomi has clarified that both variants will be part of the international release, dispelling rumors that the Pro model may remain exclusive to the Chinese market.

Xiaomi 14 Pro: A Closer Look

The Xiaomi 14 Pro boasts a 6.73-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 3200 px. It features a high refresh rate of 120Hz and an impressive peak brightness of 3,000 nits.

Under the hood, the Xiaomi 14 Pro houses a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC.

In terms of photography, the Xiaomi 14 Pro features a triple Leica-enhanced camera setup, consisting of a 50MP primary sensor, a 40MP telephoto lens with up to 3.2x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultra-wide lens. For selfies, there's a 32MP front camera housed within the punch-hole cutout on the display.

The device is powered by a 4,800mAh battery with support for 120W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.

Lastly, notable features include Dolby Vision, HDR10+ support, an under-display fingerprint scanner, and IP68 water and dust resistance. The phone is equipped with Dolby Atmos stereo speakers but does not include a 3.5mm headphone jack.

It shares the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, up to 16GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of internal storage. The device also includes Dolby Vision, HDR10+ support, an under-display fingerprint scanner, and IP68 water and dust resistance.

In terms of battery and charging capabilities, the Xiaomi 14 features a 4,610mAh battery with support for 90W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.

While Xiaomi has unveiled the specifications of the Xiaomi 14 series, details regarding pricing and availability will be disclosed during the official launch event.
