Xiaomi 15 Ultra's Live Image Leaks: Massive Leica-Branded Camera Module Takes Center Stage
The wait is almost over-Xiaomi is preparing to unveil its latest flagship, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, and we couldn't be more curious. Slated to launch in the coming weeks (probably during MWC 2025), this phone is shaping up to be a powerhouse.
While official details are scarce, leaked images and early reports have given us a lot to think about.

Build and Design
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra takes a bold approach to design. A leaked image shared by tipster Kartikey Singh on X (formerly Twitter) reveals a sleek black finish with a textured glass back. The most striking feature? The massive, centrally aligned camera module that immediately catches the eye. It's framed by a red ring and includes four lenses, complemented by Leica branding, as expected.
What's different this time around is the revamped frame design. Unlike the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, the 15 Ultra opts for a more traditional layout, doing away with the flowing design that merged the frame into the rear panel.
Rumors also point to an IP68+IP69 rating, making the phone resistant to dust and capable of withstanding water exposure.
Cameras
If the leaks are accurate, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is going all-in on its camera setup. Expect a 1-inch main sensor (rumored to be the Sony LYT-900), a whopping 200 MP periscope telephoto lens for extreme zoom, a 50 MP ultrawide sensor, and an additional 50 MP short-range telephoto lens.
Xiaomi's continued partnership with Leica hints at some serious imaging capabilities, likely making this one of the most advanced smartphone cameras on the market.
Under the Hood
Performance-wise, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected to pack Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Built for speed and efficiency, this processor will handle demanding tasks and intense multitasking with ease. Paired with Android 15 and Xiaomi's own HyperOS 2, the phone promises a smooth, intuitive user experience.
Battery life also seems to be a priority this time around. Reports suggest a massive 6,000 mAh battery, along with 90W wired and 50W wireless charging support. There are also rumors of a dedicated chip for battery management.
Global Availability
One of the exciting parts of this release is that Xiaomi has confirmed the 15 Ultra will be available globally. Following in the footsteps of its predecessor, it's very likely the phone will launch in India too, as previously reported.
