Xiaomi Mi 6X/Mi A2 specs sheet hits the web

Xiaomi unveiled the flagship Mi Mix 2S smartphone in the last week. Soon after the unveiling of this smartphone, the rumor mills seem to have started to talk about the upcoming models such as the Mi 7 and Mi 6X aka Mi A2 (international variant). The Mi 6X will be the successor to the Mi 5X launched last year. It was the same smartphone to be launched in the global markets as the Mi A1 and run Google's Android One.

A few days back, we came across a listing of the Mi A2 on TENAA revealing some details. Now, we have got more information regarding its specifications. As per the specs sheet leaked by BestUnderr, the Xiaomi Mi 6X/A2 is likely to be announced with a 2.2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 626 chipset teamed up with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage capacity. For now, there is no clarity on the other RAM and storage variants of the smartphone but the smartphone will have support for expandable storage.

The Xiaomi Mi A2 could arrive with a 5.99-inch FHD+ display with the mainstream 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone will run Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. For imaging, the smartphone will flaunt a dual-camera module at its rear with 20MP and 8MP sensors having f/2.0 and f/1.8 aperture respectively. Up front, there could be a 20MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. Given that there will be a tall display with narrow bezels, the fingerprint sensor will be positioned at the rear and the entire package will get the power from a 2910mAh battery.

One of the earlier leaks showing the hands-on images of the alleged Mi 6X give us a glance of the 18:9 display and dual-camera arrangement as well. Also, a leaked image of the cases of the Mi 6X/ Mi A2 show the dual cameras at the rear stacked vertically at the top left corner.

As mentioned earlier, the TENAA listing of the Xiaomi Mi 6X also hinted at the 5.99-inch display and 2910mAh battery. The certification database also revealed that the smartphone could measure 158.88 × 75.54 × 7.3 mm. And, the design of the smartphone is said to be similar to that of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro launched as the Redmi Note 5 in the Chinese market.
