Lately, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S has been hitting the rumor mills frequently. There were claims that the smartphone might be announced at the MWC 2018 tech show instead of the company's flagship Mi 7. However, there is some official information regarding the launch date of the device from Xiaomi. Also, the company has confirmed that the smartphone will be equipped with the new flagship processor - Snapdragon 845 from Qualcomm.

According to an image posted on Weibo by Xiaomi, the Mi Mix 2S will be announced on March 27 and not at the MWC 2018 tech show. Also, the company has revealed the first AnTuTu benchmark score of the smartphone. As expected, the device manages to surpass the existing competition with an exceptional performance in the benchmark app.

 

We say so as the image tips that the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S has scored over 273,742 points on the AnTuTu benchmark database. This is one of the best scores that we have seen so far on Android smartphones. We know that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset is the most powerful one to be released by the company till date. And, this processor is all set to take the performance of the flagship devices to a new level this year.

Apart from shedding light on the launch date and chipset to be used by the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S, the company has not revealed any other information regarding the same. We can expect to come across further details about the Mi Mix 2S via leaks and speculations in the coming weeks as its announcement is just a month away from now.

From the previous reports, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S is believed to arrive with a 5.99-inch display with 18:9 aspect ratio just like the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro those were released recently. The Snapdragon 845 SoC is likely to be paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage space that is said to be the best storage configuration we have seen on an Android smartphone till date.

For imaging, the upcoming Xiaomi smartphone might sport dual rear cameras stacked vertically along with the LED flash positioned between them. The firmware files leaked recently show that there might be a Sony IMX363 sensor on board. The camera is believed to have AI features such as scene recognition, object tracking, chroma flash, automatic HDR, and other features. The battery capacity is believed to be 4000mAh.
