Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S official banner leaked: Shows stunning design and more

MWC 2018 is fast approaching and Chinese Handset maker Xiaomi is expected to take the stage and announce several products for the consumers. Besides the company has been doing rounds in the rumor mill for quite some time now and has been creating the hype for its upcoming products.

While Xiaomi seems to have several products in mind but the launch dates of the products seem to change with every new report. We just heard that Xiaomi Mi 7 launch will happen after the Barcelona event and it might be in regard to the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset. However, there is still news coming about a possible smartphone that will be launched at MWC 2018.

So as Mi 7 seems to be out of the picture, rumors have stated that we could see Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S at MWC. The device has been leaked on several occasions. Just last week the handset was spotted on AnTuTu benchmark with Snapdragon 845 and other features. And just a few days back a drawing showing the smartphone was leaked. The drawing seemed to have been from manufacturer manual and it did reveal the design of the smartphone.

We have already talked about the design but again an official-looking Xiaomi banner for the phone has been leaked. This time the image shows the device in its true form. And basically, we will once again talk about the noticeable features of the smartphone from this new image.

Well, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S seems to be taking the edge-to-edge display design to a whole new level. As you can see from the image, the display at the front has very thin bezels and the chin has also be removed. There is a small notch though at the top right corner where the camera is placed. The design is quite unique and a significant improvement over its predecessor Mi Mix 2.

At the back, there is a dual camera setup which has been vertically aligned. Talking about the build, Mi Mix 2S seems to feature the same Ceramic material, which has been used widely in the company's Mix series devices. All in all, it will be interesting to see how consumers will react if this is the real device.

Meanwhile, previous rumors and leaks have suggested that the handset will come with a 5.99-inch panel, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Other rumored features and specs of Mi Mix 2S include a dual 12MP main camera setup, based on the Sony IMX363 sensor, an under-display fingerprint sensor, AI technology, facial recognition, MIUI 9 based on Android Oreo, massive battery and more.

Interestingly just before the MWC event, Xiaomi is hosting a launch event on February 14 in India where it is expected to announce a new Redmi series smartphone. The details about which smartphone has been kept a secret.
