Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S AI camera features and face recognition teased

Xiaomi has come up with two video teasers for the Mi Mix 2S smartphone slated to be unveiled on March 27. The official teasers give us a hint of the two major features of the upcoming smartphone. Well, these teasers posted on the official Xiaomi Weibo page tease the face recognition and AI camera features of the smartphone.

Notably, one of the video teasers shows popular artists such as Van Gogh with an unlock button hinting at the upgraded face recognition feature. The other video tease of the Mi Mix 2S shows famous paintings and camera capabilities hinting at the presence of a new AI-based scene recognition feature. These two teasers come just a few days ahead of the March 27 launch date of the smartphone.

Though the Mi Mix 2S is the successor to the Mi Mix 2, which was unveiled last year, the upcoming smartphone will not deviate a lot from its predecessor. However, the device is rumored to feature a display notch as seen on the iPhone X and dual rear cameras at the rear. Recent reports have suggested that the selfie camera will be housed in the notch but the official teasers have ruled out this claim.

When it comes to the specifications, from the existing reports, we know that the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S might support wireless charging. The device has been leaked featuring a glass back panel tipping at the support for wireless charging.

Xiaomi Redmi 5, a budget category smartphone

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S is believed to feature a new Full Screen 3.0 design and flaunt a screen of 5.99 inches. The display is said to boast a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and an 18:9 aspect ratio. A powerful and flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC is said to be used by the Mi Mix 2S. And, the first AnTuTu benchmark score of the smartphone, which was revealed by the company on Weibo in the past shows that it manages to score 273,741 points. This powerful processor is said to be teamed up with 8GB RAM, which will make the device capable enough to handle graphics intense games.
