Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 is the world’s thinnest foldable smartphone: Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, Leica Cameras
Xiaomi recently released a new foldable smartphone in China. The Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 succeeds the Fold 2 and arrives as the world's thinnest foldable handset, beating out the Honor Magic V2.
The Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 made its debut in China alongside the Redmi K60 Ultra. Xiaomi's latest foldable arrives with the flagship Snapdragon chipset and Leica-branded cameras.

Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 Launch, Pricing
The Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 price is set at CNY 8,999 (roughly Rs 1,02,700) for the base 12GB/256GB model. Moreover, the handset also comes in 16GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB configurations that will set you back CNY 9,999 (roughly Rs 1,14,100) and CNY 10,999 (roughly Rs 1,25,550), respectively.
The Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 Moon Shadow (Black) and Star Gold shades. However, The Mix Fold 3 will also be offered in a Dragon Scale Fiber Variant, which uses more durable aerospace fibre composite material, which is rated to be 36 times stronger than glass.
Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 Specifications
The Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. It packs a 4,800 mAh battery with 67W wired and 50W wireless fast charging support. The Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 runs Android 13-based MIUI 14.

For optics, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 features a quad-camera system with a 50 MP Sony IMX800 primary sensor with OIS. The main camera is paired with a 12 MP ultrawide lens, a 10 MP telephoto unit with 3x optical zoom and OIS support, and a 10 MP Periscope module with 5x optical zoom and OIS support. Additionally, there are two 20 MP front cameras on the internal and external display.
Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 Design, Display
The Mix Fold 3 sports an 8.03-inch LTPO OLED display with a resolution of 1,960 x 2,160 pixels when unfolded. The panel boasts an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate and comes with HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support. For the cover display, Xiaomi has opted for a 6.56-inch LTPO OLED panel with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. Both displays can reach a peak brightness of 2,600 nits.
The outer screen is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2, while the inner display has a layer of Ultra Thin Glass (UTG). The Mix Fold 3 measures just 5.26mm when unfolded and 10.89mm when folded, making it the slimmest foldable smartphone in the world. Achieving this ultra-thin form factor is down to the aid of a vertically stacked motherboard.
The Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 also features a new hinge with a 3-element structure and 14 micro-hinges that allow you to use the foldable at an angle between 45 - 135 degrees. The Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 will be available for purchase in China later today, although there's no word on international availability.
