Xiaomi Redmi A2 And A2+ Announced: Check Specs, and Features Of Entry-Level Android Smartphones
Xiaomi has introduced the Redmi A2 and the A2+. Clearly belonging to Xiaomi's Redmi "A" series, these are entry-level Android smartphones. However, Xiaomi has offered some decent upgrades to the phones.
The Xiaomi Redmi A2 and the A2+ are limited to 4G networks as the upgraded chipset powering them lacks a 5G modem. Nonetheless, these get a large 6.5-inch HD+ IPS LCD screen, MediaTek Helio G36 SoC, 5000mAh battery, and more.

The Xiaomi Redmi A2 and the A2+ Android smartphones are identical. The only difference between the two is the inclusion of a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. Needless to mention, only the A2+ model gets the biometric authentication feature.
The Redmi A2 and the A2+ smartphones feature a 6.52-inch HD+ IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels. The 720p display appears to have a refresh rate of 60Hz.
Both smartphones are powered by a 12nm octa-core MediaTek Helio G36, which is paired with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. The Xiaomi Redmi A2 and the A2+ Android smartphones have a single 8MP rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture, which is accompanied by an AI lens and LED flash. There's a 5MP front-facing camera with an f/2.2 aperture.
Xiaomi has embedded a 5000mAh battery inside the smartphones. There's no fast-charging support as they support only 10W wired charging technology and that too via a micro-USB port.
