Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 24-hour sale on Mi.com at 12 am midnight

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 was launched in India back in February. Up until now, it was only made available via flash sales, but Xiaomi wants to make it easier for their fans who are planning to purchase the smartphone. The company took to Twitter to announce that it is hosting a 24-hour long sale for the Redmi Note 5 on Mi.com.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 sale will start at 12 am midnight. Do note that its larger sibling, the Redmi Note 5 Pro will not be available for this sale. However, the Redmi Note 5 is a better option for those looking for a budget smartphone.

Talking about the specifications, the Redmi Note 5 comes with a 5.99-inch full-HD display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and 1,080×2,160 pixels screen resolution. The display also features 450-nit brightness, 84 percent NTSC color gamut, and a 2.5D curved glass.

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor clocked at 2GHz. The chipset is paired with Adreno 506 GPU and either 3GB or 4GB of RAM. The device offers 32GB or 64GB storage options and both are expandable via microSD card. 4

In terms of optics, the Redmi Note 5 is equipped with a 12-megapixel rear camera sensor with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF (Phase Detection Autofocus), EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) and an LED flash. Up front, there is a 5-megapixel camera with an LED selfie flash.

The Redmi Note 5 also comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The handset measures 158.5×75.45×8.05mm and weigh 180 grams.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 price starts at Rs. 9,999 for the 3GB RAM, 32GB storage variant and goes up to Rs. 11,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. The device is available in multiple color options like Black, Gold, Lake Blue, and Rose Gold.
