Xiaomi to release MIUI 9.0.2.0 stable version soon

Xiaomi's MIUI 9 was introduced in July this year along with the Mi 5X smartphone. After its launch, several Developer Preview versions of the custom ROM have been released so far. This has left the Xiaomi smartphone users eagerly wait for the stable MIUI 9 update.

It looks like the rollout of the stable version of MIUI 9 will not take much time as Huang Longzhon, the MUI Marketing Deputy Director taken to Weibo to officially confirm that the stable MIUI 9 will be released soon with the version number 9.0.2.0. Along with the information, he has also posted a screenshot of the Mi 6 running on the MIUI 9.0.2.0 to make it evident that the stable build is ready for its rollout.

He also added that the stable version is usually released within two months of the release of the developer version. But the MIUI 9 is a new system and has taken more time than before to get the stable version ready. While announcing the MIUI 9, Xiaomi did confirm that the list of smartphones those will receive the MIUI Developer ROM. These supported Xiaomi devices will get the stable MIUI 9.0.2.0 build.

However, only certain devices will get features such as split-screen multi-tasking. The MIUI 9 is expected to bring software-drive facial scanning ability. It is believed that this facial will be enabled in all the MIUI 9 phones irrespective of the hardware. Besides these, the MIUI 9 will bring features such as smart app launcher, smart assistant, and a few others.

As per the previous reports, the MIUI 9 stable update should be rolled out to the users by the end of October or early November. As we are in the last few days of this month, we can expect the update to hit the eligible Xiaomi devices soon.
