Xiaomi Releases List of Compatible Devices to Adopt HyperOS in Q1 2024

The Xiaomi 14 series was unveiled earlier this year in October as the first smartphones to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Apart from the new chip, the Xiaomi 14 series were also the first smartphones from the company to adopt HyperOS.

HyperOS is the latest operating system from Xiaomi, replacing the classic MIUI. However, apart from the Xiaomi 14 series and Redmi K70 series, there was no word on the rollout of HyperOS outside China, until now.

Xiaomi HyperOS: List of Eligible Devices

The Chinese smartphone maker recently confirmed a list of Xiaomi, Redmi, and Poco smartphones receiving the HyperOS update globally.

The first smartphones to get the HyperOS update in Q1 2024 will include the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, Xiaomi 13 Pro, Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13T, and Xiaomi 13T Pro. Moreover, the Redmi Note 12 and Redmi Note 12S will also receive the HyperOS update in the first quarter of next year.

Moreover, the Poco F5 is also getting the HyperOS update in Q1 2024. Lastly, only the Xiaomi Pad 6 tablet will receive HyperOS in the first quarter of 2024. While al the devices mentioned will receive the update, the rollout will be gradual.

What's HyperOS?

To recall, Xiaomi's MIUI Android skin has been around for 13 years now. HyperOS has reportedly been in development since 2017 and will aim to carter to a wide range of products including smartphones, smart home devices, and cars.

Xiaomi's new HyperOS operating system aims to provide seamless connectivity between your phone, car, and home. HyperOS is set to bring a few visual revamps, while the operating system will also feature a faster kernel. It will be faster to install and cleaner than the current MIUI operating system.
