Samsung Galaxy S5 Specs Sheet Revealed Via Alleged Retail Packaging

In the past few weeks, we've seen plenty of rumors related to the Galaxy S5, but today a picture of what appears to be the phone's retail packaging has hit the web world.

Further, the retail box of the purported Samsung Galaxy S5 may have revealed the long time rumored specs of the device.

Today, a picture assumed to be retail packaging of Galaxy S5 has surfaced on the Internet. The layout of the retail box appears to be identical to that of Samsung Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy Note 3. However, the alleged specs mentioned on the bottom side of the box clearly matches the alleged specs sheet for the Galaxy S5.

It seems that the Galaxy S5 will be a real killer, if one is asked to believe the so-called retail packaging of Galaxy S5. A good look at the retail package yet again clarifies that the Galaxy S5 will indeed come with a 5.25-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display (2,560 x 1,440), instead of regular Full HD screen.

Moreover, the device will feature a 2.5GHz quad-core processor, most likely to be Qualcomm Snapdragon 800, coupled with 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM. Just a day before yesterday, we had informed you that the next-generation Galaxy S5 phone might pack a powerful quad-core processor coupled with 3GB of RAM, all thanks to AnTuTu benchmarking website.

However, strangely, the Galaxy S5 is now rumored to come with a 20-megapixel rear-facing Auto Focus camera, alongside a 2-megapixel. The alleged picture of retail box, you can see above, has now been listed with a 20MP rear-back camera and a 2MP front-camera. Contrary to past rumors, the Galaxy S5 is likely to incorporate a 16MP rear-facing camera. Also, the phone may come with a 3,000mAh battery fitted inside, as opposed to 2,900mAh. However, we advise you to take this picture of Galaxy S5 retail box as a pinch of salt.

The other day, SamMobile had reported that the Galaxy S5 might come in two variants: SM-G900H and SM-G900R4. It is widely assumed that Samsung could follow Apple's footsteps by coming up with two versions of S5 targeting different price segments.

Samsung has already announced that the company will hold an Unpacked 5 event on February 24. The event is set to happen in Barcelona, Spain.
