New iPod touch Key Specs

The new iPod touch boasts a dimension of 123.4 x 58.6 x 6.1 mm and weighs in at 88 grams. It sports a 4 inch widescreen Retina Display with multi-touch IPS technology. The display has 1136 x 640 pixel resolution and 326 ppi pixel density as the iPhone 5. It also features an oleophobic finger-print resistant coating.

Further, the new iPod touch is equipped with an Apple A5 chipset, 5MP iSight camera with autofocus and LED flash features and an in-built Li-ion battery, which provides up to 40 hours music playback and 8 hours video playback, claims Apple.

Price & Availability in India

Pre-orders for the new iPod touch in pink, yellow, blue, white & silver, black & slate begin September 14 through the Apple Online Store for $299 for the 32GB model and $399 for the 64GB model. In India, the fourth generation iPod touch will be available starting October for Rs 15,900 and Rs 23,900 for 16GB and 32GB models, respectively.
