2011's last Google Doodle
Google, the search engine giant greets the visitors Happy New Year in advance. This is the last doodle of Google for the year 2011. The visitors logging to the Google homepage are greeted with the letters of Google celebrating a new year party.
This doodle depicts the letters of Google as celebrating the new year and entering into 2012 happily. One of the letters in Google word is seen wearing a 2012 glass. While you click on the doodle, it will redirect to the search results page of Google and then display the articles and images that are related to Happy New Year.
The video of the Happy New Year by ABBA, the Swedish pop group is the top among the results and the next is the New Year greetings. Indicating the holiday season, already Google made another musical and interactive doodle on the eve of Christmas, Happy Holidays.
Google has created around 260 doodles including the recent one in 2011. Imagine this count when it dates back to the time the first one was created in 1998. You can browse through all the doodles right from the first one and purchase them from the Google Doodle site.
The doodles are the online phenomenon of Google and these are meant to celebrate the international holidays, famous birthdays, historical landmarks and so on. These have become some kind of art form and Google accepts submissions from the artists and designers for special occasions.
