Since Monday, the Microsoft Surface tablets have gathered the attention of all. We have almost forgotten about the Google Nexus tablet that is expected to launch this month. We are expecting the tablet to be dubbed Google Nexus. It is hoped to be an affordable 7 inch device. Google and Asus are teaming up for this device, claim the rumors.

As per the recent rumors, the Google Nexus tablet will come in Wi-Fi only version. There is no information about the 3G capability of the device. It is supposed to have a front facing camera as the smartphones. The camera at the rear will not be of high resolution in order to keep the price of the tablet down. The device could probably be preinstalled with Google Chrome browser.

The source also adds that the first batch of the Nexus tablets has already been shipped and it will be available for sales in the next month. It is expected that a total of 3 million units will be shipped by the end of this year.

Google Nexus tablet is expected to be available for a price in India of Rs 12,000 ($200 in US). The previous rumors have stated that the Nexus tablet will be powered by the Android 4.1 Jellybean operating system. As none of this information is confirmed by the company, we have to wait for the product to be unveiled.
