Facebook’s New Tool Lets You Move Photos And Videos To Google Photos
A few years back, Facebook was a go-to social media platform for those who were looking forward to connect with their friends. Even now, it remains to be one of the easiest ways to connect with people without sharing a phone number.

Though Facebook is still growing, many users have started migrating to other platforms such as Instagram and Snapchat. Especially, privacy issues have made many users delete their accounts. When it comes to deleting their accounts, users who have shared a lot of photos with their contacts via the social media network will face trouble in getting a backup of their data.
Addressing this issue, Facebook came up with an option that lets users download all their personal information before deleting their account or using it without many photos and videos. Now, it has come up with an easier option. Well, Facebook has launched a new tool for users to transfer all the photos and videos they have uploaded to Google Photos.
New Facebook Photo Transfer Tool
As per a recent blog post from Facebook, the company has come up with a new photo transfer tool, which has been developed through its open-source Data Transfer Project. Initially, it will be available in Ireland before being rolled out to the other regions across the world in the first half of 2020.
For now, there is no word regarding how this new Facebook photo transfer tool works, how long it might take to transfer photos and videos to Google Photo, etc. However, it looks like the entire process will happen within the social network.
This is believed to be let users move the photos and videos to Google Photos after linking the two accounts. If this happens, then there will be no more hassles such as downloading the data to a computer and uploading the same to a cloud storage service, which is a time-consuming process.
What We Think
Facebook has not revealed the scintillating security details of the new photo transfer tool. However, it claims that privacy and security are its top priorities. We can expect the data transferred using this tool to be encrypted and users might have to enter the password before initiating the process.
As of now, the Facebook photo transfer tool is under testing and the company might develop it further on getting feedback from users.
