Google Duo might soon receive “Read receipts” along with three-level bokeh mode
Google Duo will be giving a user 3 different levels which are named, light, medium and high in order to control the blurring during a video call.
A few weeks ago, it was being reported that the Google Duo is all set to follow the bokeh (portrait) mode trend and has also added similar functionalities to the tech giant's video calling app. Now, an update for the Google Duo app has been released and the source code gives users a better idea about how the upcoming bokeh mode which hints that a read receipts feature might be available soon for the users.
It was earlier seen that the Google Duo included code for activating the native bokeh inside of the app, the further teardown of the version 33 of the app has made a revelation that the users will be able to adjust the background blur intensity as per their taste. Google Duo will be giving a user 3 different levels which are named, light, medium and high in order to control the blurring during a video call.

string name="bokeh_effect_blur_Medium">Medium blur

string name="bokeh_effect_blur_off">Blur Off
As per some reports from the web, the functions sound similar to the live bokeh feature that allows a user to make changes to the intensity of the blur in real-time, which the users might have seen on some select flagship smartphones. However, it would be hard to comment at the moment that which one would resemble life-like images and not blur out the elements of the subject also.
In addition to this, Google Duo is also prepping to introduce 'read receipts' for the video or audio message that a user leaves behind for somebody in their contact list. The messages will then be tagged with receipts, including sent or seen, in the app. As Duo has recently added 'video mail' to messages contacts who are not available at the moment, this makes sense that it will include read receipts in case a user wants to follow up on their previous calls.
