Google Expands Support in India with New Walk-In Service Centers Amid Pixel 9 Launch
As Google continues to solidify its presence in India, the tech giant has introduced a significant enhancement to its customer service experience with the launch of three exclusive walk-in service centers.
This move coincides with the announcement of the Pixel 9 series at the company's Made by Google event, signaling Google's commitment to providing top-notch support for its growing user base in the country.

New Walk-In Service Centers
Google's new walk-in service centers, located in Delhi, Bengaluru, and soon in Mumbai, are set to transform the after-sales experience for Google device owners in India.
These centers will cater to a wide range of products, including Pixel phones, Pixel Watch, Pixel Buds, Fitbit devices, and Nest products. The goal is to offer seamless and efficient service, with many repairs being completed on the same day.
These centers, operated in collaboration with Flipkart's service arm, F1 Info Solutions and Services Private Limited, are designed to provide high-quality support, regardless of where the device was purchased or its warranty status. Customers can expect services ranging from device repairs and replacements to general inquiries, all handled by a team of highly-trained professionals.
Expanding Retail Presence
In addition to enhancing its service capabilities, Google is also expanding the retail availability of its Pixel devices across India. Starting August 14, 2024, Pixel products, including the newly launched Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL, will be available at over 150 Croma and Reliance Retail stores in 15 cities. This expansion into physical stores aims to cater to customers who prefer to experience products firsthand before making a purchase.
Local Manufacturing and Commitment to India
Aligning with India's Make in India initiative, Google has started producing its first locally manufactured Pixel devices. The Pixel 8, the first India-made Pixel phone, has already rolled off production lines, with more models expected to follow. This move not only meets local demand but also underscores Google's long-term commitment to the Indian market.
Availability
The Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL are available for pre-order starting August 14, 2024, and will officially go on sale on August 22, 2024. The Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro Fold, Pixel Buds Pro 2, and Pixel Watch 3 are expected to be available later this year.
