Intel Design And Engineering Center Coming To Hyderabad Next Week
Intel has something new to offer to India. The chip-making company is gearing up to open a new center in Hyderabad next week. The Intel Design And Engineering Center is part of a large facility constructed at the Salarpuria Knowledge City at the dedicated IT corridor in Madhapur. The new design center is believed to have a seating capacity of 1,500.

The Intel center is reportedly taking up four floors and will officially open on December 2. A year ago, Telangana's information technology minister K. T. Rama Rao had announced Intel's plans to set up a large center in Hyderabad. The minister had tweeted about the unveiling of the Intel Design and Engineering Center.
Intel has concreted its presence in India for 20 years now. The company recently acquired Ineda Systems, a company working on semiconductor design - based out of Hyderabad. More than 100 engineers from Ineda, skilled in graphics, will now be part of Intel. Intel will focus on artificial intelligence and 5G along the lines of design and graphics at the new center.

Hyderabad now has another feather in its hat. The new Intel center will add to the list of tech giants in the city, including Microsoft, Google, Facebook, Apple, and Amazon. Particularly with Amazon, the center here in Hyderabad is the company's single largest building established anywhere in the world. Also, OnePlus too has opened its largest research and development center in the city.
Other tech companies based out of the US are planning to set up their base in India. Qualcomm, the company developing semiconductor and telecommunication equipment has announced to invest $400 million to set up its largest base outside the US in Hyderabad. In other news, Indian IT minister Ravi Shankar Prasad has also confirmed that Apple will expand its presence in the country.
