Apple's annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2015, took off with major announcements of its products including a new iOS, OS X and watchOS. As expected, Apple introduced the iOS 9 with major improvements and new features. Read on to know more about the Apple iOS 9.

Smarter Siri

Apple announced the enhanced Siri application for the iOS 9 along with a new UI. Now the Siri comes with a Google Now like 'Proactive Assistant' that keeps track what you are doing.

Apple showed off an example with Siri, "Show me photos from Utah last August," than Siri pulled all those exact pictures based on the location and date tags in Photos. Siri now uses the in-app support to get photos on the contextual searches.

The new Siri assistant picks up things with your daily activity. If you are listening to music while you exercise, than Siri will play some tunes as soon as you plug in headphones. Apple has also included the the Siri to e-mail, for instance if you receive an invitation, than Siri will take a look at traffic conditions and tells you when to leave in order to be on time.

Maps Transit

Apple has introduced a new big features to its Maps navigation application and will be rolling in selected cities. Apple included mass-transit options to its Maps app, which sounds similar to the same option on Google Maps including factor walking times, train and bus schedules in your trip.

Apple Maps will also let you to find retailers close to your location or destination, who accept Apple Pay.

Apple Pay

The mobile payment system, Apple Pay, has finally announced at the WWDC 2015. iPhone users in U.K. can make use of contact-less payment using their smartphone and Apple Watches at 250000 locations starting next month.

Apple also included Discover card support for Apple Pay and also a brand-new reader for Square, that allows small-business owners to start accepting payment via iPhone and Apple Watch. Furthermore, the Apple Pay will be available in 1 million retail locations by next month.

Apple News

Apple removed the Newsstand and brings in the News app with rich in content support, animations, videos and infographics. The News app will pull contents based on your interests from bunch of magazines and online publications such as Vanity Fair, Politico and The New York Times.

Battery Life

The new iOS comes with a less processing power, which will raise the iPhone battery time by an hour per charge. Apple also introduced a low-power mode that can be used for an extra three hours of use.
