On August 24, tech world carried numerous reports about Microsoft new Metro inspired Logo, the first change after 25 years. Besides this, there were other big news like Amazon's September 6 event hinting the launch of Kindle Fire 2 tablets, HTC's upcoming Proto handset, also Apple's highly anticipated iPhone 5 dock connector cable leak, the biggest release of Samsung Galaxy Note 800 in Indian market at a whooping price of Rs 39,999. Moving on,  Apple's iPad Mini finally broke the silence and sources hinted the 7-inch tablet's October release. Tech enthusiasts sighed on the report of Sony laying off 1,000 employees and Indian government SMS ban limit to 5 SMSes per day, which were finally increased to 20 SMSes a day.

Finally, reports suggested a release of Nokia Phi and Arrow – Windows Phone 8 handsets and following that several apps got updated like Facebook for iOS, Google Plus and Google Goggles.
