Karbonn A9 Android phone for Rs 9,000
Last month, we reported that Karboon will be launching two entry level Android handsets. However, the manufacturer has not announced the launch of the phones, Karbonn A7 and A9 officially. The new A9 phone is available through some online retailers for a price in India of Rs 9,000.
The Karbonn A9 smartphone is a rival to the other entry level Android phones from manufacturers like HTC, LG and Samsung. It runs on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. It is a dual SIM phone with a wide range of preinstalled games and applications.
The listing of the phone in the online retailer sites throws some light on the price of the device. It was expected to be around this price range as the similar devices from the Indian manufacturers like Spice and Micromax are priced around Rs 7,000.
Karbonn has added a voice assistant application in the smartphone. Coming to the specs, the handset has a 1 GHz processor, 5 MP camera at the rear and a VGA camera at the front. The handset has a host of multimedia features integrated in it. It has a good battery back up of one day of heavy usage or two days of light or medium usage.
The online retailer site, Infibeam offers this handset for Rs 8,999 while Flipkart offers it for Rs 9,199. The other online sellers and retail stores will also get the phone soon.
