Especially, the 7-inch tablet seems to be proving popular among Indian youth. India-based Micromax sees immense potential in the low-cost devices, and today the company brings yet another 7-inch tablet, the Canvas Tab P650E, in India.

The tablet, Micromax Canvas Tab P650E, is a CDMA version of yet another popular tablet from the same brand, the Canvas Tab P650.

Apparently, the tablet is already available for Rs. 8,999 through an online shopping site. However, the makers behind Canvas Knight A350 have yet to reveal the retail price and availability of Canvas Tab P650E.

At the moment, the Canvas Tab P650E is now listed on the company's official site. Looks like Indian users have to wait a little longer to get their hands on the firm's latest 7-inch Android-powered tablet.

Micromax Canvas Tab P650E- Highlighted Specifications 

The Canvas Tab P650E features a 7-inch display (1024 x 600) and runs the old version of Android mobile OS (Ice Cream Sandwich).

It is powered by a dual-core processor coupled with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory, which can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card slot.

On the imaging front, the tablet incorporates a 2MP rear-facing camera, and a VGA quality shooter given in the front. The makers have added a 3000mAh battery fitted inside.

The Canvas Tab P650E supports single SIM functionality with support for CDMA network.

Indian Tablet Market - Current Status

IDC says tablet shipments in 2013 reached 4.14 million units with 56.4 percent increase over 2012. With 8.9 percent market share, Micromax retained its rank, primarily due to affordable tablets and clever marketing strategy.
