Micromax Launches Canvas Tab P666 Tablet With 8-inch Display At Rs 10,999

Micromax, today, announced a strategic collaboration with Intel in India aimed at offering a bouquet of high-performance mobile devices to the Indian consumer. The company launched the 8-inch Canvas Tab P666 as well. This is the company's first Intel powered device.

Available in Black and White colors, the Canvas Tab P666 priced at Rs. 10,999 will be sold via online and offline stores from November 29.

Commenting on the partnership announcement, Mr. Vineet Taneja, Chief Executive Officer, Micromax said, "Our collaboration with Intel will be instrumental in our vision of creating a range of new mobile devices to meet the needs of both evolved as well as first-time users. Powered by the Intel Atom Processor Z2520 (1M Cache, 1.2 Ghz), the new tablet will offer users a premium package with superior performance along with great aesthetics and an elegant glass finish design.

The tablet sports an 8-inch WXGA IPS display offering a resolution of 800 x 1200pixels. The aforementioned processor is couped with 1GB RAM to give the device a smooth performance. The devices runs on Android KitKat OS.

The tablet also offers a 5MP rear camera along with a 2MP front facing snapper.

The 3G SIM supported tablet houses 8GB ROM which can be further expanded up to 32GB via miucroSD card.

The 7.9mm sleek tablet is powered by a 4400 mAh Battery. It also sports Gravity sensors, proximity sensors, light sensors, accelerometer and motion sensors.

With regard to the new Canvas Tab P666 launch, he said, "We have been witnessing an increasing demand for high-quality tablets that offers a seamless experience and more efficient data consumption on the move. The Canvas Tab P666 is designed to address such needs by offering a dynamic range of device capabilities powered by the Intel Atom processor that delivers a great performance."
