Nexus 7 2 Spotted in the Wild at Bluetooth SIG
Few days back GizBot reported about the Asus K009's appearance on FCC and back then we had also speculated about it being 2nd Gen Nexus tablet. Along with that, the Bluetooth SIG had also come up with a new image of the tablet which showed the Asus K009 from the front, and specified that the tablet actually came with 7 inch display. However, Ubergizmo reports now suggest that it could be next generation Nexus 7 which Google might announce soon, perhaps by next month. Again on the contrary the information from the Bluetooth SIG said that the tablet was listed as the Asus K009, not as Nexus 7.

Culminating all the reports and rumors from earlier reports, this device is said to have a 7 inch LED capacitive multitouch screen display. It would be powered by a quadcore Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor. Previous reports though said that it was expected to come with 5 MP rear camera, others on the other hand says that it would include an 8 megapixel rear camera, a 1.2 megapixel front camera, and a 3,950 mAh battery (previously said to have 4000 mAh battery). This tablet is expected to run Android 4.3 OS, an update that is not yet been released.
Other features that were previously reported said that the device would be equipped with a WiFi module Qualcomm Atheros WCN3660 (802.11n) and one of a WWAN modem (WCB3660) to connect 4G/LTE. Asus K009 could be based on a quad-core processor qualcomm snapdragon APQ8064 and equipped with 32GB of memory. Among other technical features, there could be Bluetooth module and NFC technology. It would possibly be powered by a 1.5GHz processor.
Although the image of the latest K009 has been spotted, it fails to disclose any of its features. The display size is an analytical assumption which might possibly be considered to be true but other specs still need to be confirmed. And talking about whether the K009 belongs to the Nexus Category or not, it need to be genuinely confirmed. However, if one prefers to consider K009 as a 2nd gen Nexus tablet with the same aforementioned features, it will definitely be the better variant than the older one which lacked on better camera. As for the price, the new Nexus 7 is expected to be come around $299 (Rs. 17,190) which is close to $100 (Rs. 5,749) more than the previous Nexus 7.
