Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids First Look: Processor and Connectivity
As we mentioned before, the tablet is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor. And it's needless to say at this point that the processor isn't that fast. Sure, the kids won't be complaining much about it, but it still could be a major deal-breaker since there are so many other options in the market.

Even if you are wanting to use the tablet aside your kid, you will find out that loading apps can sometime be sluggish and foot-tappingly slow. Even Google Maps feels a bit out of order with pages taking ages to load.

However, gameplay shouldn't be an issue if you know which games to install on the app. You would be much better off if you leave out all the high demanding apps out of the mix. However, an occasional Angry Birds or Subway Surfer should run just fine.

Apart from that, there's no need to worry about connectivity once Kids Mode is enabled. This also makes sure your child is going solo with the tab and not engaging with others over the Internet. However, connectivity can gained back once Dad Mode is enabled with the tablet supporting TouchWiz offering 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi connectivity, DLNA support and a MicroSD slot for storage expansion.
