iPad Mini (6th Gen) All-time Low Price: Should You Still Consider This Mini Tablet in 2024?

Apple launched the iPad Mini (6th Gen) back in 2021 with a starting price of Rs 46,900, which can now be purchased at the lowest price ever on Flipkart.

While the 6th Gen model is listed at the same as its launch price, you can still get it for Rs 30,300 including bank and exchange offers. Now, the question is if considering this Mini tablet in 2024 makes sense, while the tech giant recently unveiled the iPad Mini (7th Gen) with support for Apple Intelligence.

If you are planning to exchange your old device, choosing the iPad Mini (6th Gen) won't disappoint you. While it's a three-year-old tablet, it's capable of handling your day-to-day tasks smoothly with the A15 Bionic chipset, which also powers the iPhone 13 series.

This Mini tablet has an 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera. Though it's eligible for the iOS 18 update, won't get Apple Intelligence features. So, if you want to experience Apple Intelligence without breaking the bank, picking the latest iPad Mini (7th Gen) would be a wise decision.

Even the latest Mini tablet is powered by the more powerful A17 Pro chip which delivers a huge performance boost for even the most demanding tasks, with a faster CPU and GPU, and a 2x faster Neural Engine than the previous-generation iPad mini.

While the new 7th Gen Mini tablet has the same 12MP camera as its precursor, it supports Smart HDR 4 for natural-looking photos with increased dynamic range and uses machine learning to detect and scan documents right in the Camera app. The new iPad Mini also comes with 128GB storage, an upgrade over the iPad Mini 6th Gen's 64GB base variant.

It's also worth noting that you have to spend some extra money to get all of these features. The iPad Mini 7th Gen (2024) price starts at Rs 49,900 for a 128GB storage model. However, you can get it at the same launch price as the iPad Mini 2021 model (Rs 46,900) using American Express, Axis Bank, or ICICI Bank cards during Apple's festival sale.
