Huawei has announced the Huawei MatePad SE 10.4. The affordable tablet features a 10.4-inch IPS LCD screen, Snapdragon 680 SoC, and 6GB RAM. The MatePad SE 10.4 comes encased in an all-metal chassis. It is unclear why Huawei did not organize an event to announce the large-screen tablet. The first edition of the tablet features a 720p screen with a resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels. On the other hand, the MatePad SE's screen has a much higher resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels, an 83.6 percent screen-to-body ratio, and a pixel density of 225 PPI. The display supports 16.7 million colors.

The Huawei MatePad SE 10.4 comes powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC with Adreno 610 GPU, either 4GB RAM or 6GB RAM, and ships with 128GB of internal storage. Its onboard storage is expandable using a microSD card of up to 1TB.

The Huawei tablet has a 5MP rear camera with an aperture of f/2.2 and an identical 5MP front-facing camera. Simply put, Huawei embedded two cameras in the MatePad SE 10.4 with the exact resolution and aperture.

The Huawei MatePad SE 10.4 measures 246.9×156.7×7.85mm, and weighs 468 grams. Huawei claims that the tablet has been designed to be more durable than other tablets, and would be safe if dropped from small heights.

The Huawei MatePad SE 10.4 is only announced as of date and is not available for sale yet. The device will be available for purchase from February 16, 2023.

The Huawei MatePad SE 10.4 comes in Dark Blue, Obsidian Black, and Island Blue color options. The tablet's 4GB + 128GB variant is priced at Yuan 1299 (approx. ₹15,730), whereas the 6GB + 128GB variant costs Yuan 1399 (approx. ₹16,940). The tablet will be available only in China as of now. However, like the OnePlus Pad, the MatePad SE 10.4 is also likely to be available in select international markets, including India.
