Huawei MatePad With Kirin 990 SoC To Launch On November 26: Expected Pricing And Specifications
Huawei is all set to bring a new flagship tablet for the masses. Called the MatePad Pro, the tablet has recently been certified in China by two popular Telecom authorities - 3C and TENNA. Now, the device has got an official launch date as well. Here is all you need to know:
Huawei MatePad Official Launch Details
The Huawei MatePad is confirmed to launch on November 25 in Shanghai, China. Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei Business Group revealed the official launch date of the premium tablet via a post on Weibo.
Huawei MatePad Expected Features
While the complete specifications and features of the Huawei MatePad tablet are still undisclosed, the online certifications and leak reveal some of them. The display size is unknown, however, we might see a Quad HD+ panel with a punch-hole for the selfie camera.
This will make it the first Huawei tablet to offer this display design. It is worth noting that the MediaPad M7 tablet is also tipped with the same display. So it could be likely that the MatePad could come under the MediaPad M7 moniker in some markets.
Under the hood, the MatePad is said to make use of Huawei's latest premium chipset - Kirn 990. It might come in multiple RAM and storage configuration; up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration. While the software version is not revealed, we can expect an open-source Android OS.
Additionally, the tablet is said to come with the M-Pen Stylus support and a magnetic pin connector for a Keyboard. There is no specific information available on the camera hardware and it remains to be seen how many sensors will be equipped at the rear panel. Lastly, the tablet is said to come in four colors including green, orange, white, and blue.
