Apple is reportedly working on the next-generation iPad Pro, which could get two major upgrades over the 2024 model. According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, the upcoming iPad Pro will be powered by the new M5 chip and feature a second front-facing camera.

M5 iPad Pro To Feature Dual Front-facing Cameras

Apple had shifted the front camera to the landscape edge with the M4 model. Now, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, the tech giant will be introducing a second portrait-side front-facing camera on the upcoming M5 iPad Pro. This addition will allow users to enjoy FaceTime and take selfies comfortably in both portrait and landscape orientations.

M5 iPad Pro: What to Expect?

Apple's iPad Pro saw a major overhaul in 2024, featuring the powerful M4 chip, a stunning OLED display, a nano-texture glass option, and more. In contrast, the 2025 iPad Pro models are expected to bring more modest updates. The tablet is rumoured to enter mass production in the second half of 2025, with a possible launch expected for later this year.

The biggest change is expected to be the new M5 chip, while the overall design is likely to remain similar to last year's model. To recall, the 2024 iPad Pro featured an Ultra Retina XDR display with ProMotion technology and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Moreover, the next-gen iPad Pro may run on iPadOS 26, which is expected to bring the all-new Liquid Glass design, advanced AI features via Apple Intelligence, improved multitasking, and a host of creative tools.

Bloomberg's Mark Gurman also reports, Apple aims to launch its first-ever foldable iPhone next year, featuring a book-style design. It would include a large inner display that unfolds like a tablet and a smaller cover screen for everyday use.
