Lenovo's latest tablet for the Indian market -- the Tab P11 Pro (2nd Gen) comes with several improvements when compared to its predecessors. The tablet is based on the new processor crafted specifically for tablets along with a 2.5K OLED display. But is it worth shelling out your hard-earned money?

The Lenovo Tab P11 Pro (2nd Gen) retails for Rs. 39,999 and offers 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage with the complimentary Lenovo Precision Pen 3. The tablet will be available in India via Lenovo.com, Amazon.in, and Lenovo Exclusive stores starting October 17.

Lenovo Tab P11 Pro (2nd Gen) Specifications

The Lenovo Tab P11 Pro (2nd Gen) comes with a massive 11.2-inch 2.5K display with a resolution of 2560x1536p. The display has a typical brightness of 450nits and it can go up to 600nits in HDR mode with certifications like HDR 10+ and Dolby Vision.

The display has a 120Hz panel protected by an anti-fingerprint coating, which makes it a great tablet for gamers, although the gaming performance of the device will be limited due to the Arm Mali-G77 MC9 GPU.

Speaking of processors, the Lenovo Tab P11 Pro (2nd Gen) is one of the first Android tablets in the country to feature the Mediatek Kompanio 1300T SoC, an octa-core chipset with four 2.6GHz high-performance cores based on Cortex-A78 architecture along with four 2.0GHz efficiency cores based on Cortex-A55 architecture.

The tablet offers 256GB of UFS3.1-based onboard storage with a microSD card slot for additional storage expansion. It is also worth mentioning that the tablet also has a quad-speaker setup tuned by JBL and these speakers are also optimized for Dolby Atmos.

The Lenovo Tab P11 Pro (2nd Gen) has premium construction with a metal unibody design made out of magnesium alloy, PMM, and polycarbonate. The Lenovo Precision Pen 3 pen can magnetically attach to the tablet and it also supports wireless charging.

An 8,000 mAh battery fuels the Lenovo Tab P11 Pro (2nd Gen) tablet, and the device claims to offer up to 14 hours of battery life per charge. The tablet ships with almost-stock Android 12 OS, and the device can be connected to a Lenovo PC using Lenovo Freestyle to use the tablet as a secondary display.

Should You Get One?

On paper, the Lenovo Tab P11 Pro (2nd Gen) seems like a great mid-tier tablet although it does miss out on a few features such as LTE connectivity. However, the tablet really shines in the display and connectivity aspects.

While the Lenovo Tab P11 Pro (2nd Gen) might not be a great tablet for gaming (Mi Pad 5 with Snapdragon 860 is better), the combination of a 2.5K OLED display and the efficient Mediatek Kompanio 1300T SoC makes it a great tablet for content consumption. The tablet also has a USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port with support for DisplayPort 1.4 output.

The inclusion of a stylus in the box also adds a bit more value to this product, making it ideal for taking notes, making sketches, and even for professionals who might want to edit a spreadsheet on the go.
