Panasonic Launches ToughPad Tablet With 20-Inch 4K Display, Priced At Rs 2.4 Lakhs
Panasonic has launched the world's first 20 inch tablet with 4K resolution display in India at a whooping 2.4 lakhs. The new tablet is called as Toughpad FZ-Y1, which was first showcased way back at CES 2013.
The tablet is powered by 5th generation Intel Core vPro processor paired with 8GB of RAM and with multiple input ports and runs on Windows 8.1 Pro operating system.

According to the company, the tablet is aimed at professionals in outdoor, where visual clarity and collaboration are major issues. The company also claims that tablet features a scratch resistant glass, which can withstand drop resistance up to 2.5 feet.
Commenting on the launch, Gunjan Sachdev, National Business Head, Toughbook, Panasonic India, said, "As an industry leader in the enterprise space, Panasonic's newest tablet PC is a pioneering device which is unrivalled in the large screen 4K tablet segment. The FZ-Y1 is our newest enhancement of our Toughpad portfolio, prioritizing the mobility infrastructure of businesses with a large format, high-resolution display."
It sports a 20 inch display with a resolution of 3840x2560 pixels at 10 finger capacitive multi-touchscreen with 15:10 aspect ratio, 230 ppi with scratch resistant glass. It houses a Intel Core i5-5300U vPro processor (2.3 GHz, 3MB Intel Smart Cache) paired with 8GB DDRL SDRAM.
It comes with 256 GB Solid State Drive and can be expanded up to 64GB with microSD and also comes with HD (720p) front camera for video calling.

Furthermore, for connectivity, it has Intel Dual Band Wireles-AC 7265, Version 4.0 + EDR Class 1, USB 3.0, Gigabit LAN, HDMI 2.0 (4K), Mini DisplayPort, Port replicator connector, Ambient light sensor, Magnetic Sensor, Gyro sensor, Acceleration sensorSmart Card Reader and packed with 4770mAh battery.
