Vivo Pad 2 to Feature Dimensity 9000 SoC and 44W Fast Charging: Report

Vivo is reportedly launching the Vivo Pad 2, which will succeed last year's Vivo Pad, this month in China. Ahead of its debut, prolific tipster Digital Chat Station has leaked the tablet's charging speed and storage configuration.

The Pad 2 is expected to launch alongside the Vivo X Flip and Vivo X Fold 2. According to previous reports, the Vivo Pad 2 might not arrive in markets outside China. The tablet might bear a resemblance to the Oppo Pad 2 and the OnePlus Pad.

Vivo Pad 2 Leaked Specifications

According to the tipster, the upcoming Vivo Pad 2 will feature a 12.1-inch IPS LCD panel. The display will feature a 2.8K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and an aspect ratio of 7:5.

Going by the leaked images, we can expect the upcoming tablet to sport thick bezels. The tipster adds that the Pad 2 will feature an all-metal body. The device will also include support for 44W fast charging.

The Vivo Pad 2 will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset based on a 4nm process. The processor will be accompanied by 8GB/12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB/512GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. As for the operating system, the Pad 2 will boot Android 13-based OriginOS 3 out of the box.

In addition, the upcoming Vivo Pad 2 will be compatible with various accessories, such as the Vivo smart touch keyboard and the Vivo Pencil 2. The tipster adds that the stylus will feature linear motor pressure feedback and include support for magnetic wireless charging.

The original Vivo Pad features an 8040mAh battery. While the upcoming Pad 2's battery capacity was not revealed, we can expect the tablet to sport a larger battery. It could also feature a dual camera module at the rear, accompanied by an LED flash.
