Vivo Launching X Fold 2, X Flip, And Vivo Pad 2 Today: Where To Watch Event Live And What To Expect
Vivo has scheduled a big event today, April 20, 2023, to launch the Vivo X Fold 2, Vivo X Flip, and Vivo Pad 2. Vivo X Fold 2 is the world's first foldable phone powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.
The Vivo X Flip, launching alongside the X Fold 2, is Vivo's first clamshell-style foldable smartphone. Vivo will also unveil the Vivo Pad 2, a premium portable tablet.

Vivo To Livestream X Fold 2, X Flip, And Vivo Pad 2 Launch: Where To Watch?
Vivo recently confirmed the launch date of the Vivo X Fold 2, the X Flip, and the Pad 2 tablet via its social media channels. The launch event is scheduled to begin today, April 20 at 7PM China Time (4:30PM IST).
Vivo will live-stream the launch event. However, as the launch is currently limited to China, the event will be available to watch live only on Vivo's official channel on Weibo, a popular Chinese social media platform.
Vivo has indicated it will launch the X Fold 2, X Flip, And Vivo Pad 2 at the event. The Vivo X Fold 2 succeeds the Vivo X Fold smartphone which launched in China last year. The Vivo X Flip is the company's first-ever clamshell-style foldable flip phone.
In addition to these foldable smartphones, the company will also launch the second generation of the Vivo Pad which was launched in China in April 2022.
Vivo X Fold 2, Vivo X Flip, And Vivo Pad Expected Specifications
The Vivo X Fold 2 is the first foldable Android smartphone to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, which is paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage.
Previous reports about the upcoming Vivo's foldable smartphones have suggested it features an 8.03-inch internal AMOLED display with a 2,160 × 1,916 pixels resolution and a 4:3.5 aspect ratio. The cover screen will feature a 6.53-inch AMOLED display with a 21:9 aspect ratio and an FHD+ resolution.
The Vivo X Flip will be Vivo's first clamshell foldable smartphone. It is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC., which could be paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
The clamshell-style flip phone will reportedly feature a 6.74-inch FHD+ AMOLED foldable display with a 21:9 aspect ratio, a 120Hz refresh, and HDR10+ support. The Vivo X Flip is also expected to feature a 3-inch cover display.
The Vivo Pad 2 is expected to feature a 12-inch WQXGA LCD panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and 2560 x 1600 pixels resolution. The upcoming tablet is rumored to be powered by the Dimensity 9000 chipset, which will be paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
