The Reliance Jio 4G SIM is given to the users across the country for free and it bundles the Welcome Offer as well. Notably, the Welcome Offer that offers free and unlimited calls, messages, 4G data and app access will expire on December 31, 2016.
As of now, the Jio SIM is offered in Blue and Orange color packs. We have already explained the differences between these Reliance Jio SIM packs. Now, there are reports that the Jio SIM will be provided in new color packs - Red and Green for the new customers.
Meanwhile, there is news that the Welcome Offer might be extended until March 2017. However, there is no official information regarding this for now.
Jio Red and Green SIM cards will pack more benefits
Going by the reports, these new Jio SIM packs will bundle several benefits and will be made available from January 1, 2017 that is after the Welcome Offer.
Red SIM is for users with less data usage
The Reliance Jio Red color SIM is likely claimed to be for those users of the network who have pretty less internet usage. However, their requirement for voice calls will be more.

Voice calls quality will be better
The service provider has already mentioned that the voice calls will be free across the country, the Red Jio SIM users can experience better quality and network of the calls. On the other hand, the 4G data speed will also be good, but there will be a limit.
Green Jio SIM is for heavy data users
The Jio Green SIM is for the heavy data users. The SIM will give them free internet on a weekly basis. Apparently, they will not have any limit on the amount of data they consume.
What will happen to the already issued SIM cards?
As mentioned above, Reliance Jio is giving the orange and blue color SIM card packs to the users right now. With the expiry of the Welcome Offer, we may not see these cards being distributed to the users as the Red and Green ones will replace them based on the above mentioned categories.
