It goes without saying that there is a heavy competition in the telecom sector in India. It all started with the launch of the Jio 4G services in September 2016. Since then, the other telecom operators are also striving hard to stay in the lead by offering unlimited combo plans to their subscribers just like Jio.
With the cheap tariff plans, Jio has benefited a lot and is competing with the long-time players really hard. Airtel is still dominating the Indian telecom sector. When it comes to the state-run telco BSNL, the operator has never been this active in the past. After Jio, these operators have introduced 4G and VoLTE services too.
Recently, Airtel, Vodafone and Idea have been coming up with several revisions to their existing plans to compete with Reliance Jio's plans. In that way, we have come up with a list of tariff plans available under Rs. 300 offering over 1GB of data from all these telecom operators. IPL 2018 plans from Reliance Jio, Airtel and BSNL have also been compared earlier.
Jio has a slew of tariff plans under Rs. 300 with different benefits. The Rs. 251 plan is meant for the IPL 2018 season. It offers 2GB of data per day for a period of 51 days. This plan comes with unlimited voice calls and 100 free SMS per day. Also, there is access to the Jio suite of apps too. The other plans offered by Reliance Jio are Rs. 299 plan offering 3GB of data per day for 28 days and Rs. 199 plan offering 2GB of daily data for 28 days. The other benefits include unlimited voice calls, 100 free SMS per day and access to Jio apps.
Airtel has recently introduced the Rs. 249 tariff plan offering 2GB of daily data for a period of 28 days. This plan comes with unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS per day. The operator also has a Rs. 199 plan offering 1.4GB of data per day and other benefits for 28 days.
BSNL has come up with an IPL 2018 plan priced at Rs. 248. This plan will offer 153GB of data to the users that is 3GB of data per day for a period of 51 days. However, this plan is available for subscription only until April 30. There is another plan priced at Rs. 118 for select subscribers. This one offers 1GB data per day for 28 days and provides free access to Personalized Ring Back Tone.
Vodafone has a Rs. 199 prepaid plan offering 1.4GB data per for 28 days. This plan comes with benefits such as up to 250 minutes of voice calls per day and 1000 minutes of voice calls per week. The free calls include local, STD and roaming calls too. There are 100 free SMSes per day and Vodafone Play app access too.
Idea Cellular's Rs. 199 plan is similar to that of the Vodafone. The difference is that there is another plan priced at Rs. 179 offering 1GB of data per day for 28 days. The other benefits are similar to that of the Rs. 199 plan.
