Airtel Offering Free 10GB Data To Consumers This Diwali
Airtel has announced an additional 10GB 4G data for some selected consumers. Here is how you can redeem the free 10GB data on your Airtel number.
To redeem this offer Airtel users need to give a miss call to 5999555 which will activate the offer for their number. Do note that the benefit will be only for the 4G handset with 4G SIM. Users can check their data balance and validity by dialing *121*51#. Do note that after giving a miss call on this number you will receive a text message informing that your number is eligible for this benefit or not.
Recently, the company has also introduced new prepaid plans starting from Rs. 23 which goes up to Rs. 1,699. The newly launched Rs. 1,699 plan offers 1.4GB data with a validity of 365 days all total users will get 511GB data usage in a year. This long-term prepaid plan also includes a free subscription for platforms like Wynk Music and Airtel Xstream.
Jio has also introduced a new prepaid plan for its Jio Phone users which starts from Rs. 75 and goes to Rs. 185. The start plan with Rs. 75 comes with benefits like 500 minutes free calls to the same network, along with 3GB of data usage for a month. Rs. 125 plan offers 14GB 4G data with the same calling minutes. Rs. 155 and Rs. 185 plans offer 28GB and 56GB respectively.
Meanwhile, Jio has recently announced that the company will charge 6 paise per minute calls on another network. On this Airtel has come up with a series of trolls on twitter and the company has also released some teasing ads to trouble Jio. However, Jio has also replied to other networks on Twitter with some following image posts.
It seems that the era of unlimited free calling is going to fade soon and all the telecom company will slowly move back to the tariff game. If this happens then it will be bad news for users who were enjoying the free calling and internet benefits.
