Jio Discontinues Several Popular Plans; Introduces Three New Plans With Unlimited 5G Data

Jio recently increased tariffs for both prepaid and postpaid plans by up to 25 per cent. While the telecom giant has not increased the price of some of its popular plans, it has now silently discontinued some plans. Among them, a few plans had free OTT benefits, while others offered access to unlimited 5G.

However, it has added three new plans that come with unlimited 5G data, which are slightly on the expensive side. Let's check all the details here.

Jio Rs 3,662 Prepaid Plan

Jio's Rs 3,662 plan is removed from the official website, which used to offer 2.5GB data/day for 365 days and SonyLIV and Zee5 subscriptions for free. The Rs 2,999 is also not available, which had 2.5GB of data per day for 365 days.

Jio Rs 3,226 and Rs 3,225 Prepaid Plans

Both these plans used to offer 2GB of daily data, SonyLIV and Zee5 subscriptions. Both plans had a validity period of 365 days.

Jio Rs 909, Rs 806, and 805 Prepaid Plans

These prepaid plans from Jio are discontinued and used to come with 84 days of validity, and 2GB of data/day. The Rs 909 plan used to come with bundled SonyLIV and Zee5 subscriptions, while the Rs 805 plan had a free Zee5 subscription.

Jio Rs 3,178 Prepaid Plan

The Rs 3,178 pack used to come with 2GB data/day and a Disney+ Hotstar subscription for a validity period of 365 days.

Jio Rs 4,498 Prepaid Plan

The Rs 4,498 pack is removed from the official website, which had 365 days of validity and used to offer 2GB data/day, 78GB bonus data, and a JioTV Premium subscription.

Jio Rs 3,227 Prepaid Plan

The Jio Rs 3,227 used to come with 2GB of data per day and an Amazon Prime Video subscription for 365 days.

Apart from these plans, the popular Rs 1,559 plan will now cost Rs 1,899 without the unlimited 5G data option. The Rs 61 (data booster) pack is now priced at Rs 69 without unlimited 5G data.

The Rs 398, Rs 4,498, and Rs 1,198 came with JioTV Premium, which is no longer available. Three data voucher plans (Rs 555, Rs 667, and Rs 2878) are also removed from the official site. Further, the Rs 331 plan is no longer listed on the official website, which used to come with 40GB of data for 30 days of validity.

Jio Introduces New Plans With Unlimited 5G Data

Jio has also added three new plans that come with unlimited 5G data and the same validity time as the base plan.

• The Rs 51 Jio data plan comes with 3GB of 4G data and unlimited 5G data.
• The Rs 101 Jio plan offers 6GB of 4G data and unlimited 5G data.
• The Rs 151 Jio plan comes with 9GB of 4G data and unlimited 5G data.
