Reliance Jio Rs. 19, Rs. 52 Sachet Packs Removed After Launching IUC Top-Ups
Of late, Reliance Jio has been hitting the tech headlines for imposing IUC charges of 60 paise on outgoing calls to other networks. To provide relief to its subscribers, the telco came up with a few IUC prepaid packs priced starting from Rs. 10. Prior to the introduction of IUC top-ups, Jio had launched a few sachet packs priced between Rs. 19 and Rs. 52.
Well, the Rs. 19 sachet pack offered one-day validity while the Rs. 52 sachet pack offered seven days of validity. Now, a report by TelecomTalk claims that these two sachet packs have been removed by Jio. Having said that, the Jio combo plans now start from Rs. 98 for the prepaid users and offer 28 days of validity.
Jio Sachet Packs Removed
As of now, there is no specific reason for the company to have removed the sachet packs. Notably, these sachet packs were meant to be used along with the unlimited combo and long-term recharge plans. The Rs. 19 sachet pack offered unlimited voice calling benefits, 20 SMS and 150MB of 4G data for one day. And, the Rs. 52 sachet pack is bundled with unlimited calls, 70 SMS and 1.05GB of data for a period of seven days. And, these packs provide access to Jio apps such as JioSaavn, JioCinema, and JioTV among others.
Reliance Jio IUC Packs
Talking about the IUC packs, there are top-up plans starting from Rs. 10. The entry-level top-up voucher ships with 124 minutes of voice calls to other networks and 1GB of additional data. The Rs. 20 top-up voucher will provide 249 minutes of calls and 2GB of data. Likewise, the Rs. 100 voucher provides 1362 minutes of voice calls and 10GB of additional data.
As the company has introduced IUC recharge packs between Rs. 10 and Rs. 1,000, it is no point to recharge with these sachet packs. So, this could be the reason for the company to have removed these plans from its portfolio.
