Vodafone-Idea Launches Rs 549 Prepaid Plan for Those Looking For Validity

Vodafone-Idea in recent times have been making a lot of changes to its prepaid plans, alongside introducing new ones. In the latest move, the telco has introduced a Rs 549 prepaid plan, which is listed in the combo/validity section of its website.

Point to note here is that the pack is valid for 180 days, and is aimed at customers who are looking for long validity when charging their phones, over unlimited benefits. Let's take a closer look at the details of this new pack.

Vi Rs 549 Prepaid Plan: Details

The Rs. 549 prepaid plan has a host of benefits valid for 180 days.

Users get the recharge amount, that is Rs 549 in talktime. Calls in this pack are made at a price of 2.5p/sec. All Local as well as National Calls are priced at 2.5p/sec. It is important to note that there is no unlimited calling facility available with this pack.

The plan additionally offers a total of 1GB of data, which stays valid for the 180 days that the pack is valid for.

The pack doesn't offer any SMS benefits.

Given the above conditions, it would be fair to say that this pack is a good option for those using Vodafone as a secondary SIM on their mobile phones.

Rivals of the telco, Airtel and Jio also have plans priced at similar rates. Airtel's Rs 549 pack offers 2GB of data per day for 56 days, along with 100 SMS per day, Xstream app access, Apollo 24|7 circle, Rs 100 cashback on FASTag, free hello tunes, and Wynk Music app access. Jio, on the other hand, has a pack priced at Rs 533, which offers 2GB of data per day, along with unlimited calling, 100 messages per day, and access to Jio apps, including JioCinema, JioTV, JioCloud, and JioSecurity.

Vodafone-Idea are yet to roll out their 5G services, while Airtel and Jio have been expanding their 5G coverage across the country.

Vi's Newly Launched Plans

Vodafone Idea had recently launched two schemes, priced at Rs 368 and Rs 369, aimed at added content subscriptions for users. The Rs 368 one offered access to the SUN NXT app for 30 days, along with 2GB data per day, unlimited calls, 100 SMS, 2GB backup data and more. The Rs 369 one offered access to the Sony LIV app, along with 2GB data per day, unlimited calls, 100 SMS, 2GB backup data, weekend rollover of data, and more.
