American luxury watchmaker Fossil has entered the wearable market in India with the launch of company's Q series smartwatches.

The watchmaker has also unveiled a range of connected devices across six of its owned and licensed brands - Fossil Q, Michael Kors Connected, Skagen Connected, Chaps, Emporio Armani and Misfit. These traditional watchmakers have combined fashion and technology to bring out a connected ecosystem of smart devices.

The entire range of products (from above mentioned brands) includes smart watches, hybrid watches and fitness trackers that will compete with traditional smartwatch makers such as Samsung, Apple, Motorola, Asus, Fitbit, Xiaomi, Garmin, etc.

Fossil

Fossil

Fossil has been around since 1984 and is known for its fashion accessories, especially watches. The company is now foraying into the smart wearable domain with Q Wander and Q Marshal smartwatch line-up.

The Q series smartwatches from Fossil are 45mm in diameter, and features a 1.4-inch LED display with a resolution of 320x190 pixels offering 229dpi. The smartwatches are powered by a 360mAh battery unit that as per Fossil last up to 2 days.

There is 512MB of RAM and 4GB of inbuilt storage with connectivity options including Bluetooth v4.1 and Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n).

The touchscreen displays of Q series smartwatches are packed inside a steel case and is paired up with classic leather straps. Fossil Q Wander features a soft curving, multi-finish case and has interchangeable genuine leather straps. The Q Marshal on the other hand features a rugged case along with a navy blue plated case paired with vintage-inspired leather straps.

Both Q Wander and Q Marshal feature an Always On Display, allowing users to access information like time, calls and alerts anytime. Users can also respond to messages from the watch by tapping the screen or by using voice commands. The collection is priced between Rs. 21,995 - Rs. 22,595

Misfit

Misfit

Known for its fitness wearable accessories, MisFit has launched- Misfit Shine 2 and Misfit Ray smart bands. Priced at Rs. 7,495 onwards, Misfit Shine 2 and Misfit Ray feature a modular design and help users track their fitness goals with the help of a smartphone app. Users can track the steps, the calories they burn, monitor their sleep pattern and can indulge in fitness activities with other Misfit users on social platforms.

Misfit Shine 2 will be available in Carbon Black and Rose Gold colour variants. Misfit Ray comes in Carbon Black, Rose Gold, Navy, Forest, Stainless Steel, and Stainless Steel Gold with either a sport or leather band.

Skagen- The Danish watchmaker

Skagen- The Danish watchmaker

Fossil has also roped in Danish watchmaker- Skagen, who creates functional and modern watches, jewelry and leather goods for men and women. The company's products are inspired by the clean lines and simplicity of Danish Design.

Skagen has introduced Skagen Connected, a wearable technology line comprising of Hagen Connected hybrid smartwatches and a Skagen Connected activity tracker. The collection is priced between Rs. 14,295 - Rs. 15,495/-

Michael Kors

Michael Kors

Fossil has also joined hands with New York based Fashion brand- Michael Kors. The brand has introduced its Michael Kors Access series of smartwatches that fuses style with technology. The smartwatches under the Access line-up comes with features like activity tracking, voice activation, customizable display faces, wireless charging and allows users to customize display faces. Kors' Bradshaw Access and Dylan access will be available in the price range of Rs. 25,995 to Rs. 29,495.

Emporio Armani

Emporio Armani

The wearable lot also includes smart wearables from Emporio Armani. The company's Connected series of Hybrid Smartwatches brings smart features like activity tracking, notifications alert, sleep pattern monitoring, etc. Priced between Rs. 17,495 to Rs. 27,995, these timepieces wil be available in four metal finishes, of Rose Gold, Black, Gunmetal and stainless steel paired up with either a three-link bracelet or a leather strap.

Chaps

Chaps

The connected hybrid watches under the Chaps brand brings fitness tracking and notification access on watch itself. The hybrid watches have been given a traditional look and will sell under a price range of Rs. 9,995 to Rs. 10,495.
