While Apple's Siri was the first voice-activated personal assistant, soon after came Amazon's Alexa. Later, Google came up with Google Assistant. Now, there are many AI-based personal assistants but these three are the main ones.

Alexa-enabled smart glasses are in the making claims report

Amazon and Google have already made smart speakers, and Apple is expected to launch one soon. Well, it seems like, Amazon has something bigger in mind. A report by the Financial Times (via Android Authority)claims the e-commerce website is planning to launch Alexa-enabled smart glasses. Yes, you heard that right. If the report turns out to be true, you will be able to take the voice assistant everywhere by carrying your glasses.

Both Google Assistant and Siri have been used in wearables for years now. So, it was high time for Amazon to introduce something of its own.

Moving on, the report has also revealed some details about the glasses. The glasses are said to sport a normal look without featuring a screen or camera. Instead of that, it will come equipped with a bone-conducting audio system that will let users talk to and hear Alexa directly from their glasses.

This means users wouldn't feel the need of their phones to use Alexa.

Needless to say, lack of a display or a camera, may not sound appealing some. However, without these features, the glasses will surely have a long-lasting battery life.

If you wondering when the glasses will get launched, there is no information available at this moment. Unfortunately, it would take a while before Amazon officially unveils them. We say this because the company had earlier failed with a few ambitious projects.
