Apple Brings Watch Ultra 3 to India With SOS via Satellite, Starts ₹89,900

Apple has announced the Apple Watch Ultra 3, its latest high-end smartwatch built for sports and outdoor use. It comes with satellite messaging, a larger display, extended battery life, and health insights like hypertension notifications and sleep score.

Built for Long Adventures

The Ultra 3 keeps the rugged titanium build but introduces Apple’s largest watch display yet, powered by new LTPO3 OLED technology. It allows for thinner borders and better readability at wider angles. The always-on mode now updates every second, so you can see details like a ticking seconds hand without lifting your wrist.

Battery life is another highlight. The Ultra 3 runs up to 42 hours on a charge, and up to 72 hours in Low Power Mode. With fast charging, a 15-minute top-up can add around half a day of use.

Safety Features Off the Grid

The biggest upgrade is two-way satellite connectivity. If you’re off the grid, you can send emergency SOS messages, share your location, or even text friends and family. The watch can also automatically alert emergency services in case of a crash or fall when out of network coverage. Satellite features are bundled free for two years.

Alongside satellite, the Ultra 3 includes 5G cellular connectivity, redesigned antennas for better reception, and improved GPS accuracy — useful for runners, cyclists, hikers, and divers.

New Health Tools

Apple is expanding the watch’s role as a health companion. Ultra 3 introduces notifications for potential hypertension, analyzing blood vessel responses over 30-day periods. It also brings sleep score, breaking down quality of rest into clear metrics you can track over time.

These features join existing options like ECG, Blood Oxygen, and irregular rhythm alerts, aiming to give users more data about their overall health.

Fitness Features Get Smarter

With watchOS 26, the Ultra 3 gains Workout Buddy, a voice-based coaching tool powered by Apple Intelligence. It offers real-time motivation during runs, swims, or bike rides, drawing on your fitness history and current performance.

Apple also improved third-party support, with apps like Strava, Nike Run Club, and Oceanic+ for scuba diving making full use of the new hardware.

India Pricing and Availability

The Apple Watch Ultra 3 is priced at ₹89,900 in India for the standard models with Alpine Loop, Trail Loop, or Ocean Band straps. The Titanium Milanese Loop version costs ₹1,04,900.
