MWC Shanghai 2015: Intex iRist smartwatch with 1.5 Inch Display, Voice Assistance Launched

    The Indian smartphone maker, Intex Technologies, is now looking forward to enter into the wearable market in India with its iRist smartwatch. The company today announced its first smartwatch dubbed as Intex iRist at Mobile World Congress Shanghai.

    MWC Shanghai 2015: Intex Unveils iRist with Voice Assistance Launched

    The new smartwatch sports 1.56 inch display at 240x240 pixels resolution along with sapphire glass. The iRist is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor paired with 512MB of RAM and runs on Android KitKat 4.4.2.

    It comes with 4GB of ROM, where 1.3GB internal storage will be for user usage, and it can be expandable up to 32GB. It also features a 5MP camera, double tap to wake, face detection, music player and voice assistance.

    Interestingly, the smartwatch comes with 3G SIM support that can make calls, send and receive messages and also comes with built-in dialler. In terms of connectivity, it comes with HSPA, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth, GPS, USB.

    Furthermore, the smartwatch is packed with a 600mAh battery, that the company claims to provide 240 minutes of talk time and 200 hours of stand by time. It is also water and dust resistance and comes in three color options: Black, Pink and Orange.

    The Intex iRist will go on sale starting August for Rs. 15,000, but the smartwatch will be sold for Rs. 11,999 on e-Bay as exclusive launch offer. The smartwatch will be made available in retail stores by the end of August.
