Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Series to Feature Gemini Voice Assistant, Leaks Suggest
We're just a few hours away from Samsung's big summer event - Galaxy Unpacked 2025. At its July showcase, the South Korean tech giant is expected to unveil the Galaxy Watch 8 series along with the next-gen foldable smartphones.
Now, just ahead of the official launch, new leaks have surfaced. The Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch 8 Classic have been spotted online, hinting that the upcoming wearables might debut with Gemini Voice Assistant.
Galaxy Watch 8 Series Leak Hints at Gemini Integration
According to two newly leaked promotional images, the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic and Galaxy Watch 8 could launch with Gemini as their voice assistant. One of the images shows the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic's display with the text "Ask Google Gemini," strongly hinting at Gemini integration.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Series - What to Expect?
The upcoming Galaxy Watch 8 is anticipated to feature a squircle design, albeit less pronounced than the Classic variant. Samsung is likely to continue offering this model in two sizes: 40mm and 44mm.
In contrast, the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic is expected to sport a more prominent bezel with notches, allowing for rotation. Additionally, it will include the Quick button, a feature carried over from last year's Galaxy Watch Ultra.
Both the Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 and the Watch 8 Classic will be available in both Bluetooth and Bluetooth + 4G versions. Colour options for the standard model will likely include Graphite and Silver, while the Classic variant is tipped to come in Black and White colours. Moreover, both models are expected to be powered by the Exynos W1000 chip and will run on One UI 8.0.
Since all are speculations, take them with a pinch of salt and stay tuned for the official announcement today at 7:30 PM IST. It's being held in Brooklyn, New York, but anyone can watch the livestream on Samsung's official website, YouTube, or through its social handles.
