Samsung’s Galaxy Ring Will Feature Snore Detection, Stress Monitoring, Skin Temperature Tracking, and More

Samsung is gearing up to introduce its latest wearable, the Galaxy Ring, during the Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event. This cutting-edge device, which was previewed at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) earlier this year, promises to bring an array of health monitoring capabilities in a sleek and unobtrusive design.

What to Expect from the Galaxy Ring

The Galaxy Ring is poised to revolutionize health tracking by offering features typically found in smartwatches, but in a more compact form. According to a report by Android Authority, the ring will include:

Leak: The Galaxy Ring Will Track Skin Temperature and Detect Snoring
  • Heart Rate Monitoring: Keep tabs on your heart's rhythm and activity levels throughout the day.
  • Stress Tracking: Measure stress levels with continuous monitoring and receive insights into your mental well-being.
  • Skin Temperature Measurement: Track temperature fluctuations through skin contact, which can be valuable for health insights.
  • Period Prediction: Utilize temperature data to predict and track menstrual cycles.
  • Snore Detection: Detect snoring patterns with the help of a nearby smartphone while charging.

These features are integrated into Samsung's Health app, offering users a comprehensive view of their health data.

Seamless Integration with Samsung Ecosystem

While these health features aren't new for Samsung's wearable lineup, the Galaxy Ring will complement existing devices like the Galaxy Watch. Users can expect enhanced functionality when using the ring alongside other Samsung wearables, creating a cohesive ecosystem for fitness and health tracking.

Design and Availability

Samsung has focused on making the Galaxy Ring both functional and fashionable. The ring will come in nine different sizes and three colors: Silver, Gold, and Black. Its lightweight and sleek design, coupled with a metal construction and glossy finish, make it a versatile accessory suitable for all-day wear.

Early previews from MWC revealed that the ring has a raised circular section in the middle and includes a charging indicator to display battery status. This design aims to provide a balance between style and technology, allowing for discreet health monitoring.

Pricing and Launch Details

The Galaxy Ring is expected to be priced between $300-$350 (approximately ₹35,000). Additionally, there might be a subscription fee under $10 per month for advanced features via the Samsung Health app, similar to Fitbit Premium.
