WatchGPT on Apple Watch Brings ChatGPT Directly to User’s Wrists

A new watchOS app gives Apple Watch users access to ChatGPT, the popular conversational AI bot from OpenAI. The new application allows Apple Watch users to interact with the chatbot directly from their wrists, giving users access to the futuristic AI at all times.

Intuitively called WatchGPT, the app is available on the App Store but is not free. You can share the responses WatchGPT spits out via texts, email, and social media directly from the Apple Watch.

WatchGPT: How to Use

The WatchGPT app is available for download on the App Store at $3.99 (roughly ₹320). The app's developer Hidde van der Ploeg shared the details of the app's availability on Twitter. It is only supported on Apple devices running iOS 13.0 or later and requires 2.6MB of space.

Presently, the app supports English, Dutch, French, and Spanish. Users can interact with ChatGPT by typing on the watch and get even longer answers generated.

In future updates, WatchGPT will allow users to have their own API key, access past conversations, and also allows for voice input by default, with the app reading out responses to make using it on your wrist more intuitive.

OpenAI recently opened up ChatGPT for use by third parties. The company released the chatbot's API for use by other apps.

Popular apps such as Snapchat, Quizlet, and Shop have already integrated the API to deliver smart features. And many more are on their way, similar to WatchGPT, to democratize the use of chatbots.

As for the App Watch, Apple has reportedly hit a milestone in health tech. The company has developed a solution to monitor blood glucose levels without needing a needle prick. Instead, it works based on optical absorption spectroscopy coupled with a dedicated chip tech called silicon photonics to throw light at predefined wavelengths.
