Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Launched With Improved Design: Specifications and Price
At an event held in China, Xiaomi officially launched the Smart Band 8, a successor of the Smart Band 7, which was launched in 2022. The Smart Band 8 was launched along with two other products, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra and Xiaomi Pad 6 series.
The wearable features several training modes, an improved battery life and more. Let's take a closer look at price points and specifications.

Xiaomi Smart Band 8: Features and Specifications
The Xiaomi Smart Band 8 has a 1.62-inch AMOLED display which boasts of a HD 192×490 pixels resolution. Additionally, the display comes with a 60Hz refresh rate, and brightness of up to 600 nits. The wearable also has Always-on display support.
The wearable is water resistant for up to 60 meters.
When it comes to bands, the brand offers new innovative options, including one necklace-shaped strap and a leather one. These options even enable the device to be put on shoelaces.
Apart from tracking fitness and activities, the device also comes loaded with games like 2048, Suduko, ping-pong shooter and more.
The Mi Smart Band 8 also features 150+ training modes. Additionally, it comes with heart rate monitoring, Spo2 monitoring, female period tracking and sleep tracking modes among others.
A new running bean mode can offer a professional running monitoring experience, by providing information on 13 professional fronts, like stride frequency, ground contact vacancy ratio, stride length, ground impact force and more. The device also has an interactive boxing mode.
Apart from monitoring fitness, users can also use the device to control camera and music, and reply to quick messages and see incoming calls.
Users can choose from 100+ watchfaces to customize their experience. The wearable measures 48 × 22.5 × 10.99mm and weighs 27 grams.
Mi Smart Band 8: Pricing and Availability
With NFC support, the Smart Band 8 was launched at a price of CNY 279 (around Rs. 3,330) and without NFC support, it was priced at CNY 239 (roughly Rs. 2,850). The bands were launched for sale in China, but there hasn't been any official word from the brand about global availability yet.
