Fastrack Revoltt FS1: The Perfect Entry-Level Smartwatch?
As I scrolled through Instagram, I saw that Fastrack had launched the Revoltt FS1, a new budget smartwatch with Bluetooth calling. Memories of my school days flooded back when having a Fastrack watch was the epitome of cool. It's great to see that the brand that defined "cool" is back and stronger than ever. A Bluetooth-calling, budget smartwatch with a Fastrack brand sounded exciting, so I tested the company's latest offering. Here's what I think about the Fastrack FS1.
Fastrack Revoltt FS1: Design
The Fastrack Revoltt FS1 has the OG fastrack digital watch design. From the dial to the straps, the smartwatch has a distinctive sporty aesthetic. There's also a quick-release mechanism that makes it easier to switch straps. Talking about the straps, after unboxing the Revoltt FS1, I had to assemble the smartwatch back together before I could use it. I see where this is coming from; similar to IKEA's design philosophy, when a buyer is involved in building/assembling the product, they feel more committed to the product.

- Responsive Touch
- Clean & Smooth UI/UX
- Bluetooth Calling
- Weak Display
- Low Speaker Output
- Average Health Accuracy
Fastrack Revoltt FS1: Comfort & Durability
The watch looks like it's built to last. The charging face of the smartwatch is well-crafted, allowing the smartwatch to fit snugly around the wrist. However, the silicone straps could have been softer, as they cause discomfort after extended usage. My wrist sweated significantly more during extended training sessions, and therefore I had to remove the watch after every workout session. That being said, since it has an IP67 rating, there is no need to sweat about the sweat. In terms of build quality, the watch will last you a long time, although I differ on comfort.

Fastrack Revoltt FS1: Display
The Revoltt FS1 packs in a massive 1.83" LCD Display. The screen is adequate for indoor use, but when I took the watch outdoors during the afternoon, its brightness and color output were average. Given the low pixel density on the Revoltt FS1, I noticed a color shift while viewing the display from tilted angles. Also, to quickly change the brightness levels, the Revoltt FS1 requires the user to repeatedly tap the brightness icon to toggle between the various brightness levels. I would have preferred a brightness level slider for swift adjustments instead.

Fastrack Revoltt FS1: Touch Response
I've tested a couple of budget watches for around ₹2,000, and it's safe to say that Fastrack has done an excellent job in the touch response department, which many budget smartwatches often overlook. The touch is snappy and precise. There is no input lag whatsoever. The vibration motors are also at-par with the competitors, and I like the addition of an intensity/mode switch which gives two different types of vibrations.
Fastrack Revoltt FS1: Smartphone App & UI: Fastrack Reflex
The layout of the app is clean and tidy. There are ample watch faces to customize the Revoltt FS1, 200+ to be precise. The UI is simple, and the menu navigation is straightforward. It almost feels like using a smartphone. Minor additions, such as the ability to switch between list view and grid view, come in handy for customization. The App registration process is tedious since it requires an OTP the first time. What's good is that it asks you to set goals immediately when you set up the smartwatch, which is an instantaneous push to follow up with an active routine.
Fastrack Revoltt FS1: Calling and Camera; Speakers and Mic Quality
The speaker output on the FS1 is sub-optimal in loudness and depth. For reference, I tested the Gizmore Vogue, which is priced similarly, and the speaker on the Vogue was twice as loud with well-rounded bass compared to the FS1. Due to the low output speaker on the FS1, the call-receiving experience wasn't one of the smoothest. When outdoors, I found myself struggling to hear the person at the other end unless I brought the watch closer to my ear in an awkward posture. The Bluetooth camera tap-switch is available on the Revoltt FS1. However, shake-to-click is unavailable.

Fastrack Revoltt FS1: Health Monitoring
The Revoltt FS1 packs several health monitoring capabilities, including heart rate tracking, SpO2 monitoring, blood oxygen-level measurement, and stress level assessment. Sleep duration, and especially sleep quality, can be actively tracked. However, in my experience with the Revoltt FS1, fundamental functions such as heart rate tracking were inaccurate by slight margins. Also, to test the 'smartness' of the smartwatch, I placed it on my bed to monitor the heart rate, and instead of giving me an alert to wear the wristwatch correctly, it determined the heart rate of my bed, to which I was a little taken aback.

Fastrack Revoltt FS1: Battery Life
Fastrack claims the watch supports NitroCharge (fast charging) and that a simple 10-minute charge can deliver a full day's battery life, which I tested and found to be accurate. In my tests, the battery lasted roughly four days on a single charge with Bluetooth connected and through intense usage of health-tracking while working out and receiving tonnes of alerts, which is reasonable for a budget smartwatch.
Verdict
Overall, I feel the Revoltt FS1 is a decent budget smartwatch from Fastrack, especially given it costs approximately ₹2,000. It is robust, has an outstanding touch response, has Bluetooth calling capability, has a great battery life, and has a clean and simple UI/UX. It outperforms its competition in all of the above aspects. However, when it comes to Health Monitoring accuracy, the Fastrack Revoltt FS1 can do better, I believe.
